In response to growing concerns and pressure from the sector, the NDIS has announced that Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Kits are now available to be claimed by all Participants. Previously, only eligible SIL Participants were able to claim RATs under temporary support measures.

The updated measures mean all Participants can claim RATs using your core funding where it is required to continue to access reasonable and necessary disability-related supports. Given the high case load and wait times for laboratory testing, RATs have been identified as a useful tool in preventative screening whilst managing COVID-19 outbreaks.
