The NDIS has announced that some Participants may be eligible to claim for the cost of a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). This temporary support measure was announced on 23 December and is available nationally until 31 January 2022.

Given the high case load and wait times for laboratory testing, RATs have been identified as a useful tool in preventative screening whilst managing COVID-19 outbreaks.

You are eligible to claim up to $12.50 from funding in your core budget for a RAT if you are a SIL Participant who is required to undergo a test in order to safely live in your dwelling or accommodation.
